TIP 2: TAKE A PICNIC

Take A Picnic

There is just something to be said about al fresco dining! And even more so when you are as far away from civilisation as possible. In the countryside, having to choose where to sit is a ‘nesting’ experience in itself; avoiding the nettles, circumnavigating the lumps and bumps from tractor ruts and dodging the rabbit droppings.

It might not be glamorous but at the very least it is a grounding touch (literally) with the real world…....

....... I bet as you crack open your hard boiled eggs and survey the landscape shrouded in early morning sunlight, you’ll wonder why you’ve never had breakfast like this before. Delightful escapism in its simplest form!

Two important things to remember:

  • Leave nothing but footprints . . . check you have all your rubbish with you (apologies for the teacher voice!)

  • Your fluid intake has a finite capacity . . . unfortunately ladies, we draw the short straw for difficulty in this situation. On a positive note, if worst comes to worst, at least a 'wild' wee allows you to execute a textbook squat!
