Hanging in the Balance
Harvest Mouse and Buttercups
Charcoal, soft pastels and pastel pencils
Original Artwork (50cm x 50cm): Double mounted plus gutter mount, ready for framing
On the back of mental health awareness week, this artwork is all about navigating the ebbs and flows of life.
When things get you down, life can sometimes feel decidedly precarious and it takes strength, determination and self-understanding to rediscover your balance and regain a better footing. While it’s natural to want to jump immediately back up to a level of security, the answers often lie within time and space …. It’s in these steadying times of patience and quiet that we become more self-aware, learn deeper lessons and grow in the long run.
I’ve kept the background of my artwork deliberately simple to reflect these thoughts and hope the piece and it’s meaning provides you with a moment to check-in on yourself.
